Well, he’s kind of had it in for me ever since I accidentally ran over his dog. Actually, replace “accidentally” with “repeatedly” and replace “dog” with “son”. — Lionel Hutz
I’m not a football expert and I mainly watch the Super Bowl for the commercials but it would seem to me that the inability of the Patriots’ defense to fend of the blitz plays by the Giants prevented the Patriots from winning and going 19-0. Or at least it played a big part of them loosing. Oh well.
For the most part, I was disappointed with the commercials this year. Here is the list of the ones I did enjoy and why or just view them all here or here:
At first I thought it was going to be the typical car headlight commercial but then they threw in Alice Cooper and Richard Simmons for laughs.
Well I guess overall this Super Bowl was nothing special for me. I’m sure I could have spent 3+ hours doing something else maybe even something productive. I did enjoy the episode of House that aired after the game.
Well, I finally got around to watching the final episode of The Amazing Race 12, which aired last Sunday, and I’m happy to report that the team I was cheering for won. Out of all the teams this round I feel they deserved to win and they did so without all the drama and bickering that most of the other teams had each episode. The final leg of the race took place in Anchorage Alaska so it was really cool to see some of the places I visited when I was up there last summer.
Any ways, out of all the reality shows that are out there, The Amazing Race is the one I would want to be on the most next to The Rebel Billionaire if they ever produce another season of that.
In case you have not watched the final episode yet I’ve listed the winners below but you will only see them if you click to read the rest of this post.
Those crazy guys at Top Gear decided to create a reusable space craft out of a Reliant Robin, a small three wheeled car and it actually took off. If you just want to see the launch, click HERE
In the February 18, 2007 episode of Top Gear, a Reliant Robin was used by Richard Hammond and James May in an attempt to modify a normal K-reg Robin into a reusable space shuttle.[1] Steve Holland, a professional radio-controlled aircraft pilot, helped Hammond to work out how to land a Robin safely. The craft achieved a successful launch, flew for several seconds into the air and managed to successfully jettison the solid fuel rocket boosters on time. This was the largest rocket launched by a non-government organisation in Europe. It used 6 x 40960 NS O hybrid rocket motors giving a maximum thrust of 8 metric tons. However the car failed to separate from the large external fuel tank due to a faulty alignment between the Robin and the external tank (10 thousandths of an inch out) and the Robin subsequently crashed and ’seemed’ to explode into the ground soon after.
I stumbled upon a British comedy that revolves around an IT department called: “The IT Crowd” while reading some posts at Audi World. I personally think it’s quite funny but I’m sure other (cough: Justin) will not.
For all you Amazing Race fans: The second to last episode of the All Star season had the racers on the Island of Guam. It was really neat to see some of the places I’ve been to when I was on Guam in the show like the Dive shop where the blonds stopped at to get directions as well at the fort where the pit stop was. I’ll have to get the rest of my picture from my 2000 and 2005 Guam trip online.
